Ten tiny children sit cross-legged, eyes fixed on a ball bag in their teacher’s hands, calling out: ‘Yi, er, san…shi!’’. It’s clear that they have done this before.
These young learners at the Link Chinese Academy are part of one of the biggest growing second languages. Spurred by the rapid development of China’s economy, the Chinese language is already being dubbed ‘the language of the future’. The Academy’s Chinese activity groups are a fun and effective way for children to quickly learn Mandarin Chinese and be introduced to the richness of Chinese culture.
The programme aims to give children an early advantage, making a foundation they can build on
for the rest of their lives, as well as fostering an interest in the Chinese language at an age when it can make a real difference. Parents are encouraged to join the lessons and activities, and regular homework and guidance are given to parents to help kids learning at home.
Classes contain an average of 6 and a maximum 10 students, ensuring that all pupils receive the benefit of individual attention within a group dynamic.
Link Chinese Academy runs courses across London for children aged 1.5 yrs +.
