Does the thought of networking fill you with unease? Do you want to learn how to network on your own terms?
Circulating around a room full of strangers can be intimidating for most people, including the most confident of professionals. For many people the anxiety about networking at events stops them attending, or has them timidly huddled at the edge of the room, not knowing what to do and ultimately missing out on expanding their number of business contacts, raising their profile, and crucially, the profile of their business.
The LONDON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE’s special surgery, entitled ‘How to work a room,’ aims to remove some of these personal barriers to networking by providing some focus for attending events, examining the ‘risks’ involved, as well as how to reduce and manage them, and boosting your confidence with some handy hints and tools.
