Mission For Vision is committed to providing vision to those living in the deprived areas of the developing world. The charity comprises optometrists and dispensing opticians willing to volunteer their skills, time and money to improve the quality of life for others.
For many, just obtaining the basics for life is a daily struggle, and for those with deficient eyesight there is little hope of obtaining either education or employment.
Come and support Mission for Vision at a relaxed Sunday Brunch. Experience the healthy Indian option of culinary delights; prepared from secret recipes only known to the Patron chef Dr Kartar Lalvani. A private afternoon affair, shared with prominent business people, social entrepreneurs, and others who share the same goals and vision in helping eradicating blindness. Enjoy soft music and be entertained by our special guest.
The aim of the afternoon is to launch Mission for Vision in the UK and take donations for eye hospitals in India and globally, and most recently for the Sankara eye hospital in Ludhiana in Punjab, North India. As stated by the CEO Gimms Andrews:
“Our vision is to restore the gift of vision to any visually impaired human being, irrespective of nationality, religion or socio-economic status”
As the charity reaches an important pinnacle of twenty years, the dream goes on to be the largest eye care partnership in the world.
