The Indian film industry completes a century this year. But very few people know that when it started the people working in films used to tell the world that that they were working in a factory. Why? Well, most people were unaware about what films were, and it would have been hard to explain their work to the world. Times have changed, today India is known abroad because of its films and film actors. From Raj Kapoor in Russia to Amitabh Bachchan worldover, Indian actors have proved excellent brand ambassadors. More than a thousand films are produced in India annually and the Indian film industry provides livelihood to nearly 6 million people.
